Merced, CA – The office of Congressman Dennis Cardoza will host a summit this Friday to discuss how schools can stretch valuable tax dollars and benefit the environment through increased energy efficiency and planning. The summit, which will take place this Friday, November 4th from 2-4 PM at UC Merced, will bring local school representatives together with public agencies and energy companies who sponsor programs to enhance energy efficiency.

“There is tremendous potential for schools to conserve energy and tax dollars through innovative programs offered by the public and private sectors,” said Cardoza. “As we face a continuing budget and energy crisis, I hope that this meeting will jump-start a cooperative effort between government, business, and schools to conserve valuable resources.”
