Hampton National Historic Site
Support Your Park

Between October 2007 and September 2008, over 150 volunteers donated close to 16,000 hours of service to Hampton. Individuals and groups helped to provide public services, assist with preservation and maintenance projects, complete research projects, and more!

Hampton NHS is always looking for talented and motivated individuals to join the volunteer ranks. If you are interested in volunteering at Hampton please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

As a volunteer you can,

  • Lead tours
  • Work with students
  • Paint historic structures
  • Weed and maintain the historic landscape
  • Assist the Museum Staff
  • Work hands-on with the collection
  • Eagle scout projects

Our Cooperating Association, Historic Hampton, Incorporated has raised many thousands of dollars for the park.

Hampton relies on the support of many friends and benefactors.

Thank you.

Did You Know?
The New River Gorge was logged extensively thoughout the past century. The landscape is now recovering, with the park ecosystem returning to its more natural state, but there are still plenty of signs of the past activities.
