Census 2000 Special Tabulation: Census Tract of Work by Census Tract of Residence (STP 64)

Format: ASCII. Record layouts included on the disc.

Subject content: Special tabulation showing the number of workers in each tract of work by tract of residence commuter flow. Workers are defined as people age 16 years old and over who were employed and at work, full time or part time, during the Census 2000 reference week (generally the last week of March 2000). Excluded are people who had a job but did not work during the reference week. Examples of people in the excluded category would be those who didn't work during the reference week because they were sick, on vacation, laid off, or otherwise absent from work for the week. Nationwide, about 2 percent of employed persons fell into this category.
