Subject Content: The 109th Congressional District Summary File contains both the 100-percent and sample data compiled from the Census 2000 questionnaires. The 100-percent data are the information compiled from the questions asked of all people and about every household; sample data are the information compiled from questions asked of a sample of all people and housing units. The long-form sample size for Census 2000 was overall one in six households.

Population items for the 100-percent data include sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino, household relationship, family size and type, and group quarters. Housing items include occupancy status, vacancy status, and tenure (owner/renter occupied). There is a total of 230 population tables and 56 housing tables. The file contains subject content identical to that shown in Summary File 1. Technical documentation[pdf] for the 100-percent file is available.

Population items for the sample data portion of the file include basic population totals, urban and rural, marital status, grandparents as caregivers, place of birth, citizenship status, place of work, educational attainment, veteran status, and more. Housing items include basic housing totals, number of rooms, number of bedrooms, household size, year structure built, heating fuel, and more. There are a total of 813 tables: 484 population tables and 329 housing tables. The file contains subject content identical to that shown in Summary File 3. Geography: The 109th Congressional District Summary File has data for the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Data are provided for these areas and their subareas down to the census-tract level. Within Congressional Districts, the file shows counties, county subdivisions, census tracts, places, and American Indian and Alaska Native Areas and Hawaiian Home Lands.
