Middle Arkansas River Basin, Colorado - KansasLocationThe study area comprises parts of the Arkansas River Basin in southeastern Colorado and southwestern Kansas. It extends along the Arkansas River from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Pueblo to Garden City, a distance of about 250 miles. (Detail map pdf)StatusDuring the reconnaissance investigations, no evidence of deformity or reproductive failure was observed for any bird or fish species. The study was not designed to assess reproduction or to determine the extent of embryonic deformities.
