Junior Naturalist patch

A naturalist is a person who learns and knows about nature.

Kids can become Junior Naturalists and earn an iron-on cloth patch (left) and a pencil by watching nature in the park and completing a 4-page activity sheet that can easily be done in a single visit.

1. Pick up the sheet from a visitor center or park headquarters,
or link to it the the right. (pdf file)
2. Return the completed sheet to a visitor center to check your answers with a ranger and to get your patch and pencil!

The junior naturalist program is usually completed before the Junior Park Ranger program.
