Green Airport, Warwick, Rhode Island AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration, DOT. ACTION: Notice of agency scoping meeting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: In accordance with Council on Environmental Quality's Regulations and FAA Order 1050.1D, Policies and Procedures for Considering Environmental Impacts, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing notice to advise that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be prepared for revision and implementation of air traffic control procedures and associated noise compatibility program mitigation measures at the T.F. Green Airport. In order to determine that all significant issues related to the proposed action are identified, an agency scoping meeting will be held. DATES: The agency scoping meeting will be held on May 11, 1999. The meeting will be held between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for all interested agencies. Comments and suggestions may be mailed to the FAA informational contact listed below by May 11, 1999. ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held at T.F. Green Airport in the Mary Brennan Board Room, located on the second floor of the Terminal Building, at 2000 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The FAA is preparing an EIS for proposed changes in air traffic procedures for noise abatement, including related noise compatibility program measures at T.F. Green Airport. These will modify existing noise abatement procedures and mitigation measures proposed in the FAR Part 150 Noise Compatibility Program, approved by the FAA in 1986. Comments and suggestions are invited from federal, state, and local agencies and other interested parties to ensure that the full range of issues related to the proposed action are addressed and all significant issues identified. Copies of a scoping document with additional details can be obtained by contacting the FAA informational contact listed above. Comments and suggestions may be mailed to the same address.
