Take notice that on January 15, 1999, Jefferson Island Storage & Hub L.L.C. (Jefferson Island), formerly known as Equitable Storage Company, located at 5555 San Felipe, Suite 2000, Houston, Texas 77079, filed pursuant to Section 284.123(b)(2) of the Commission's Regulations, a petition for rate approval requesting that the Commission approve as fair and equitable, its current maximum system- wide rate of $0.0800 per MMBtu, plus ots current two-percent in-kind fuel reimbursement when compression is required, for interruptible transportation services being rendered pursuant to Section 311(a)(2) of the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978 (NGPA). Jefferson Island's petition states that it is an intrastate natural gas pipeline company within the meaning of Section 2(16) of the NGPA, and was formed primarily to own and operate storage and pipeline facilities. The pipeline consists of approximately 14.6 miles of pipeline, located in the State of Louisiana, more specifically in Iberia and Vermilion Parishes, Louisiana, and connects to the Jefferson Island Underground Gas Storage and Interchange FacilityTM with several intrastate and interstate natural gas pipelines. Any person desiring to be heard or to make any protest with reference to said filing should file a motion to intervene or protest in accordance with Sections 385.211 and 385.214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. All such petitions or protests must be filed with the Secretary of the Commission on or before February 19, 1999.
