ACTION: Notice of public meeting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) Groundfish Total Catch Determination Committee (Committee) will hold a public meeting. DATES: The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 2, beginning at 1 p.m. and may go into the evening until business for the day is completed. The meeting will reconvene at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3 and continue until the agenda has been completed. ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held in the conference room at the Pacific Fishery Management Council office, 2130 SW Fifth Avenue, Suite 224, Portland, OR. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This ad-hoc committee has been instructed to continue the investigation and development of a program to determine total groundfish fishing mortality and discard and to provide the information necessary to assess the effects of trip limit management. The ad-hoc Committee will review the goals for a data collection program, discuss design of a program, and review information that has been prepared since the previous meeting. The Committee will prepare a report to the Council for presentation at the April Council meeting. Although other issues not contained in this agenda may come before this Committee for discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting.
