EFFECTIVE DATE: June 24, 1999. SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce (the Department) is extending the time limit for the preliminary results of the antidumping duty administrative review of the antidumping order on sulfanilic acid from the People's Republic of China, covering the period August 1, 1997 through July 31, 1998. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Under section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Tariff Act, as amended (the Act), the Department may extend the deadline for completion of an administrative review if it determines that it is not practicable to complete the review within the statutory time limit of 245 days after the last day of the anniversary month for the relevant order. In the instant case, the Department has determined that it is not practicable to complete the review within that statutory time limit. See Memorandum from Joseph A. Spetrini to Robert S. LaRussa, dated June 17, 1999. Therefore, in accordance with section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Act, the Department is extending the time limit for the preliminary results until August 31, 1999. This extension fully extends the statutory deadline to 365 days after the last day of the anniversary month for the relevant order.
