ACTION: Notice of request for public comments regarding an extension to an existing OMB clearance (9000-0080). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Secretariat will be submitting to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request to review and approve an extension of a currently approved information collection requirement concerning Integrity of Unit Prices. This OMB clearance currently expires on August 31, 1999. DATES: Comments may be submitted on or before July 13, 1999. Purpose FAR 15.408(f) and the clause at FAR 52.215-14, Integrity of Unit Prices, require offerors and contractors under Federal contracts that are to be awarded [[Page 26367]] without adequate price competition to identify in their proposals those supplies which they will not manufacture or to which they will not contribute significant value. The policies included in the FAR are required by section 501 of Public Law 98-577 (for the civilian agencies) and section 927 of Public Law 99-500 (for DOD and NASA). The rule contains no reporting requirements on contracts with commercial items. B. Annual Reporting Burden Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 1 hour per response including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. The annual reporting burden is estimated as follows: Respondents, 1,000; responses per respondent, 10; total annual responses, 10,000; preparation hours per response, 1 hour; and total response burden hours, 10,000.
