ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: This notice withdraws the notice requesting public comments on information collection requirements for the Requirements for Notification, Evaluation and Reduction of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Federally Owned Housing and Housing Receiving Federal Assistance. The notice requesting public comments was published in error. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On April 16, 1999 (64 FR 18923), HUD published a notice of proposed information collection, requesting public comments for a period of 60 days on the proposed information collection requirements for [[Page 24168]] the Requirements for Notification, Evaluation and Reduction of Lead- Based Paint Hazards in Federally Owned Housing and Housing Receiving Federal Assistance (``Requirements''). This notice was published in error and therefore is withdrawn. The 60-day public comment request on the information collection requirements will be published when the final rule for the Requirements are published. Publication concurrently with the final rule will allow the public to better comment on the estimated burden. HUD expects that the requirements of the final rule that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act will have a delayed effective date that will provide sufficient time for public comment.
