ACTION: Notice of public meeting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) Salmon Technical Team (STT) will hold a work session which is open to the public. DATES: The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 1999 and continue from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day through Friday, February 19, 1999. ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held at the Council office in Portland, OR. Council address: Pacific Fishery Management Council, 2130 SW Fifth Avenue, Suite 224, Portland, OR 97201. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of the meeting, which is primarily a work session of the STT, is to draft the stock status report, ``Preseason Report 1: Stock Abundance Analysis for 1998 Ocean Salmon Fisheries''. The final report will be distributed to the public and reviewed by the Council at its March 1999 meeting in Portland, OR. Although other issues not contained in this agenda may come before this group for discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting.
