Petitioner states it soon will acquire certain assets of the international liner business of Crowley American Transport, Inc., and, consequently, approximately 250 to 300 service contracts entered into by Crowley will be assigned, either in whole or in part, to Petitioner. Petitioner asks that it be permitted to file a single notice listing all of the service contracts that are assigned to it rather than be subject to the existing requirement to file separate notices of assignment for each service contract. In order for the Commission to make a thorough evaluation of the petition for exemption, interested persons are requested to submit view or arguments in reply to the petition no later than November 24, 1999. Replies shall consist of an original and 15 copies, be directed to the Secretary, Federal Maritime Commission, Washington, DC 20573-0001, and be served on counsel for Petitioner, Wayne R. Rhode, Esq., Sher & Blackwell, 1850 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036.
