ACTION: Notice of Availability of Solicitation DE-PS07-99ID13788- Industrial Combustion. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Idaho Operations Office (ID) is seeking applications for innovative cost-shared research, development and demonstration of technologies which will enhance economic competitiveness, reduce energy consumption and reduce environmental impacts of crosscutting integrated industrial combustion process system applications. The research is to address the characteristics, strategic targets and challenges identified in the Industrial Combustion Vision and research priorities identified by the combustion community in the Industrial Combustion Technology Roadmap. DATES: The deadline for receipt of full applications is August 2, 1999, at 3:00 p.m. MST. [[Page 19753]] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Approximately $2,700,000 in federal funds are expected to be available to fund the first year of selected research efforts. DOE anticipates making 2 or more cooperative agreement awards each with a duration of five years or less. A minimum 50% non-federal cost-share is required for the total project which includes research, development and demonstration. The minimum research and development cost share is 30%. Collaborations between industry, industry organizations, university, and National Laboratory participants are encouraged. The issuance date of the solicitation is on or about May 3, 1999. The statutory authority for the program is the Federal Non-Nuclear Energy Research and Development Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-577).
