ACTION: Notice of withdrawal of license application, Reno Creek In Situ Leach (ISL) Uranium Extraction Project, Campbell County, Wyoming; notice of withdrawal. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received, by letter dated July 22, 1999, a request from International Uranium (USA) Corporation that the NRC terminate all review activities for the Reno Creek In Situ Leach (ISL) Uranium Extraction Project in Campbell County, Wyoming. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The NRC noticed the receipt of an Application for Licensing for the Reno Creek In Situ Leach (ISL) Uranium Extraction Project in Campbell County, Wyoming, in the Federal Register (59 FR 16246, April 6, 1994). A Notice for Opportunity for Hearing was also issued in that Federal Register Notice. The application was submitted by Energy Fuels Nuclear, Incorporated, a predecessor of International Uranium (USA) Corporation. The NRC received a letter dated July 22, 1999, from International Uranium (USA) Corporation requesting that NRC, ``immediately terminate all review work on the Reno Creek ISL Project Source Materials License Application.'' The NRC considers this request a withdrawal of the License Application in accordance with 10 CFR 2.107. As stated in 10 CFR 2.107(b), the withdrawal of an application does not authorize the removal of any document from the files of the Commission. If it desires to do so, International Uranium (USA) Corporation may again apply for a specific license for the Reno Creek ISL Project at some time in the future by submitting a license application in accordance with 10 CFR 40.31.
