ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) may be conducting a series of stakeholder dialogue meetings on the resource needs and shortfall for administering and implementing State water quality programs under the Clean Water Act. The purpose of the meetings is to solicit input in defining the scope of State water quality programs, identify the approach and methodology for data collection, identify priorities and strategies for comprehensive stakeholder approaches to address the problem. The first meeting will focus on what activities are to be covered under the water quality program, the approach and methodology for proceeding and identification of priorities. Subsequent meetings will be announced as work progresses. The meeting is open to the public. DATES: The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 1999 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
