Chapter 35), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Secretariat has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request to review and approve an extension of a currently approved information collection requirement concerning Evaluation of Export Offers. A request for public comments was published at 64 FR 6053, February 8, 1999. No comments were received. DATES: Comments may be submitted on or before May 17, 1999. Purpose Offers submitted in response to Government solicitations must be evaluated and awards made on the basis of the lowest laid down cost to the Government at the overseas port of discharge, via methods and ports compatible with required delivery dates and conditions affecting transportation known at the time of evaluation. Offers are evaluated on the basis of shipment through the port resulting in the lowest cost to the Government. This provision collects information regarding the vendor's preference for delivery ports. The information is used to evaluate offers and award a contract based on the lowest cost to the Government. B. Annual Reporting Burden Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 30 minutes for the first completion, 10 minutes for subsequent completions, or an average of 15 minutes per completion, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information. The annual reporting burden is estimated as follows: Respondents, 100; responses per respondent, 4; total annual responses, 400; preparation hours per response, .25; and total response burden hours, 100.
