This notice is provided pursuant to Section 10(c) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (16 U.S.C. 1531, et seq.): Applicant: Charles K. West, Rock Springs, WY, PRT-008991 The applicant requests a permit to import the sport-hunted trophy of one male bontebok (Damaliscus pygargus dorcas) culled from a captive herd maintained under the management program of the Republic of South Africa, for the purpose of enhancement of the survival of the species. Applicant: Morris Animal Foundation, Englewood, CO, PRT-772163 The applicant requests a permit for the import of multiple shipments of biological samples from wild specimens of endangered Gorilla gorilla from Rwanda, Uganda, and Democratic Republic of the Congo. This notification covers activities conducted by the applicant over a period of 5 years. Applicant: Zoological Society of San Diego, San Diego, CA, PRT- 727416 The applicant requests renewal of their permit to import multiple shipments of biological samples from wild, captive-held, or captive- born endangered species for the purpose of scientific research. No animals can be intentionally killed for the purpose of collecting specimens. Any invasively collected samples can only be collected by trained personnel. This notification covers activities conducted by the applicant over a period of 5 years.
