Chapter 35). Agency: Bureau of Export Administration (BXA). Title: Update of the National Security Assessment of the U.S. Cartridge Actuated Device Industry. Agency Form Number: N/A. OMB Approval Number: None. Type of Request: New collection. Burden: 200 hours. Average Time Per Response: 5 hours per response. Number of Respondents: 40 respondents. Needs and Uses: Commerce/BXA, in consultation with Naval Surface Warfare Center/Indian Head Division (NSWC/IHD), is conducting a follow- on national security assessment of the domestic cartridge and propellant actuated device industry in order to re-evaluate the health and competitiveness of the U.S. industry and its ability to support current and future defense needs. The original assessment was conducted in 1994 (approved under OMB Control No. 0694-0080). NSWC/IHD is interested in conducting a follow-on assessment in light of recent Navy and industry actions to maintain and enhance this critical sector.
