Take notice that on September 4, 1998, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (Natural) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Sixth Revised Volume No. 1 Substitute Eighth Revised Sheet No. 319 and Original Sheet No. 319A, to be effective September 1, 1998. Natural states that the purpose of this filing is to comply with Ordering Paragraph (B) of the Commission's order issued August 31, 1998 in Docket Nos. RP98-202-001 (Order). The Order accepted Eighth Revised Sheet No. 319 filed July 24, 1998 in Docket No. RP98-202-001 subject to the condition that Natural modify its proposed tariff language such that: 1) the net cumulative amount of any future Production Zone adjustments reallocated to the Midwest Zone cannot exceed $25,000, after allowances for any Production Zone amounts credited to the Midwest Zone and 2) natural will reinstate its Production Zone Account No. 858 surcharge, with respect to the excess, if the net cumulative reallocation amount exceeds $25,000. Natural states that the instant filing was made to reflect the required modifications. Natural requests waiver of the Commission's Regulations to the extent necessary to permit Substitute Eighth Revised Sheet No. 319 and Original Sheet No. 319A to become effective September 1, 1998 consistent with the Order. Natural states that copies of the filing have been mailed to Natural's customers, interested state regulatory agencies and all parties set out on the official service list in Docket No. RP98-202. Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceedings.
