(the licensee) to withdraw its October 16, 1998, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-73 for the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 2, located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The proposed amendment would have extended on a one-time only basis, the surveillance interval for technical specifications 4.8.1.1.1.b and 4.8.1.2 until the first entry into Mode 4 following the seventh refueling outage (2R7), but not later than May 1, 1999. The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on November 4, 1998 (63 FR 59591). However, by letter dated November 10, 1998, the licensee withdrew the proposed change. For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated October 16, 1998, and the licensee's letter dated November 10, 1998, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
