CBS Corp., Civil Action Nos. IP 83-9-C and IP 81-448-C, was lodged on December 1, 1998, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The Amendment represents a change in the remedial action CBS Corp. is to perform at the Neal's Dump Superfund Site in Owen County, Indiana. Under this Amendment and pursuant to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. 9601 et seq., CBS will excavate materials at the Site contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (``PCBs'') and dispose of such materials by off-site incineration or at a landfill in accordance with the Toxic Substances Controls Act, 15 U.S.C. 2601 et seq. The Department of Justice will receive, for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this publication, comments relating to the proposed Settlement Agreement. Comments should be addressed to the Assistant Attorney General, Environment and Natural Resources Division, for the Environment and Natural Resources Division, Department of Justice, Washington, DC 20530, and should refer to United States v. CBS Corp., DOJ Ref. #90-7-1-212A.
