Take notice that on December 4, 1997, Portland General Electric Company (PGE), tendered for filing under PGE's Final Rule pro forma tariff (FERC Electric Tariff Original Volume No. 8, Docket No. OA96- 137-000), an executed Service Agreement for Short-Term Firm Point-to- Point Transmission Service with PacifiCorp. Pursuant to 18 CFR 35.11, and the Commission's Order in Docket No. PL93-2-002 issued July 30, 1993, PGE respectfully requests that the Commission grant a waiver of the notice requirements of 18 CFR 35.3 to allow the Service Agreement to become effective November 18, 1997. A copy of this filing was caused to be served upon PacifiCorp as noted in the filing letter. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such motions or protests should be filed on or before January 12, 1998.
