Public information Collection Requirement Submitted to the Office 
of Management and Budget for Review

AGENCY: Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

ACTION: Notice of submission of information collection #3038-0047--
Contract market transactions.

SUMMARY: The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has submitted 
Information Collection 3038-0047, Contract Market Transactions, to the 
Office of Management and Budget for review and clearance under the 
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, (Pub. L. 104-13). On October 2, 1995, 
pursuant to section 4(c) of the Commodity Exchange Act (``Act''), 7 
U.S.C. Sec. 6(c)(1994), the Commission published final rules in the 
Federal Register which exempted certain contract market transactions 
from specified requirements of the Act and Commission regulations 
thereunder (60 FR 51323). The information collected pursuant to this 
rule is required in order to assist the Commission in its determination 
that the exempted transaction will not have a material adverse effect 
on the ability of the Commission or any contract market to discharge 
its regulatory or self-regulatory duties under the Act, and that the 
exemption would be consistent with the public interest and the purposes 
of the Act.

DATES: Comments must be received on or before March 2, 1998.
