Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council; Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of a public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council's (Council) 
Coastal Migratory Committee (Committee) and Atlantic States Marine 
Fisheries Commission's Bluefish Board (Board) will hold a public 
meeting.

DATES: The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 1998, from 1:00 
p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of this meeting is to review the 
recommendations of the Council's Scientific and Statistical Committee 
regarding the status of the bluefish stock. The Committee and Board may 
recommend management measures compatible with the new assessment 
information.
    Although other issues not contained in this agenda may come before 
the Committee and Board for discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson 
Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, those issues may not 
be the subject of formal action during this meeting. Action will be 
restricted to those issues specifically identified in the agenda listed 
in this notice.
