Notice of Postponement of Preliminary Determinations of Sales at 
Less Than Fair Value: Emulsion Styrene-Butadiene Rubber From Brazil, 
the Republic of Korea, and Mexico

Postponement of Preliminary Determinations

    On April 21, 1998, the Department of Commerce (the Department) 
initiated antidumping duty investigations of imports of emulsion 
styrene-butadiene rubber from Brazil, the Republic of Korea, and 
Mexico. The notice of initiation stated that we would make our 
preliminary determinations for the antidumping duty investigations by 
September 8, 1998 (63 FR 20575, April 27, 1998).
    On July 21, 1998, the petitioners made a timely request pursuant to 
19 CFR 351.205(e) for 50-day postponements of the preliminary 
determinations, until October 28, 1998, pursuant to section 733(c)(1) 
of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act). The petitioners 
requested postponements for additional time to analyze the responses 
provided by various parties to the Department's questionnaires and to 
address the issue of below-cost sales, in accordance with 19 CFR 
351.301(d).
    For the reasons identified by the petitioners and because there are 
no compelling reasons to deny the request, we are postponing the 
preliminary determinations under Section 733(c)(1) of the Act. We will 
make our preliminary determinations no later than October 28, 1998.
    This notice is published pursuant to Section 733(c)(2) of the Act 
and 19 CFR 351.205(f).
