ACTION: Public Land Order. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: This order revokes in its entirety a Secretarial order which withdrew 4,800 acres of National Forest System lands for the Bureau of Land Management's Powersite Classification No. 77. The lands are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were withdrawn. This action will open the lands to surface entry. The lands have been and will remain open to mining and mineral leasing. By virtue of the authority vested in the Secretary of the Interior by Section 204 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, 43 U.S.C. 1714 (1994), it is ordered as follows: 1. The Secretarial Order dated June 5, 1924, which established Powersite Classification No. 77, is hereby revoked in its entirety: Willamette Meridian Snoqualmie National Forest T. 18 N., R. 9 E., unsurveyed Secs. 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, secs. 16 to 21, inclusive, and secs. 29 to 32, inclusive, every smallest legal subdivision any portion of which, when surveyed, will be within \1/2\ mile of West Fork White River. The areas described aggregate approximately 4,800 acres in Pierce County. 2. At 8:30 a.m. on March 23, 1998, the lands shall be opened to such forms of disposition as may by law be made of National Forest System lands, subject to valid existing rights, the provisions of existing withdrawals, other segregations of record, and the requirements of applicable law.
