Oil Spill Financial Responsibility for Offshore Facilities

AGENCY: Minerals Management Service (MMS), Interior.

ACTION: Correction to final regulation.

SUMMARY: This document contains a correction to the final regulations, 
which were published in the Federal Register of Tuesday, August 11, 
1998, (63 FR 42699). The regulations are related to the Oil Spill 
Financial Responsibility for Offshore Facilities contained in 30 CFR 
part 253.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 13, 1998.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: As published, the final regulations contain 
an error which may prove to be misleading and needs to be clarified; 
the correction provides a better reference citation on claims.

Correction of Publication

    Accordingly, the publication on August 11, 1998 63 FR 42699 which 
was the subject of FR Doc. 98-21096, is corrected as follows:
    On page 42714, in the third column, in Sec. 253.15, paragraph (f), 
``Sec. 253.60 (b) or (c)(4)'' is corrected to read ``Sec. 253.60.''
