The Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site is open Wed. - Sun., 9am -5pm

  1. Consider a pre-visit to the site.
    See for yourself what we have to offer you and your class! No reservation is required for your pre-visit. Take time to review the new exhibits, expanded sales center, historic house and our Reading Room. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Don't forget to sign our guestbook and/or join our mailing list for upcoming events. 
  2. Select which education program is appropriate for your group.
  3. Select a date and time for your trip. Keep in mind we are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. On street parking is usually available.
  4. Call for a reservation. Reservations are necessary to provide the best quality experience for your class, group or organization. Our limit to tour Poe's historic house is 25. For larger group's we will have to split your group during their visit.
  5. Request or download our Teacher's Handbook to review prior to your visit.
  6. Confirmation letters will be mailed out on the 15th of the preceding month. If you need a confirmation sooner, let us know when you make your reservation. Confirmation letters can be sent via regular or your e-mail address.
