Having fun with a Park Ranger.

Children visiting Hagerman Fossil Beds enjoy seeing the informational DVD at the Visitor Center. While there the Discovery Center is a fun spot to explore.

Out on the Monument, the family can hike along the Emigrant Trail and pretend they’re one of the many people who walked over 1,300 miles so far on their trek west. Or you can walk along the Oregon Trail and check out the wagon ruts left so many years ago.

Come and have lots of fun!

Did You Know?
There've been significant bird fossils found including bones from rails, ducks, Hibbard’s Swan, a cormorant, and a songbird the size of a sparrow. A particularly rare find was a humerus from the Hagerman mole, Scapanus hagermanensis, one of only a handful of mole fossils ever found in Idaho.
