Students engage in an interactive “radio play” that takes them back to July 9, 1864. In looking at the Battle of Monocacy through the eyes of those who were there, they are faced with problem-solving and other decision-making opportunities in the middle of chaos and fear. They learn that many of these decisions were difficult to make.
Due to the size and weight of the trunks, we are unable to ship them; however, they are available, free of charge for a loan period of 2 weeks to anyone who will pick them up and return them to the park. A van or truck is recommended for transporting the trunk and accompanying plastic tub of student books. Materials are sufficient for a class of 30 pupils.
Call 301-662-3515 to reserve the trunk.
