Videos
Videos are available for teachers to borrow. We will ship to you. You must pay for shipping back to the park. The borrowing period is two to four weeks, depending on your distance from the park. The list of available videos is separated into categories and rated for your convenience (5 = Best). Contact the education office at 760-367-3011 to arrange to borrow park videos.

Desert Tortoise Traveling Trunks will be available in 2007. Two versions are being developed:

  • Lesson plans and activities focusing on habitat needs for grades three and four
  • Lesson plans and activities focusing on threats to survival for grades five and six.

If you would like to test the activities in your classroom during the development phase, contact the education office.

Ground Water Model shows students how ground water is connected. The model is available to local teachers willing to pick it up at the park education office and return it.

Desert Indian Kit helps students explore Desert Indians. Required pick up and return. Originally created by the Palm Springs Desert Museum.
