NASA Deputy Administrator Visits Columbus for Future Forum
COLUMBUS, Ohio - On Thursday, Feb. 21, NASA Deputy Administrator Shana Dale will deliver a keynote address at 8:45 a.m. EST, at the Center of Science and Industry, known as COSI. NASA's Columbus Future Forum focuses on how space exploration benefits Ohio's economy and is part of a yearlong series celebrating the agency's 50th anniversary. Gov. Ted Strickland will deliver the luncheon address.
Astronaut Carl Walz, director of the Advanced Capabilities Division in NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate, will provide an overview of the agency's plans to return to the moon and beyond. Other NASA participants include astronaut Piers Sellers; Woodrow Whitlow, director of NASA's Glenn Research Center, Cleveland; Geoffrey Landis, a researcher at Glenn; and John Hairston, director of external affairs at Glenn.
