Release 14

NOTE:  This release of the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference has been superseded.  The new release is available on our new web site:  http://www.ars.usda.gov/nutrientdata.   Access to Release 14 of the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference is provided here for those users who may wish to use it for historical reasons. 

This page provides access to Release 14 of the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference. You can either view the data here or download the data files and documentation in several different formats for use later on your computer. A search tool is also provided so you can look up the nutrient content of over 6,000 different foods directly from this home page.

• Search the database online (Note:  This search DOES NOT access SR14, but  the latest release.)
• Display: 
  • Reports of all the foods in the database.  These reports are separated into files according to food groups.
  • Nutrient lists for selected foods and nutrients.  These lists are sorted either by food description or in descending order by nutrient content in terms of common household measures.
  You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer to view these reports.  These reports can also be downloaded to your PC and/or printed on your printer.
• Download the database for use on your computer.
• Full documentation describing all the files, their fields and relationships accompanies the database and can be viewed online.  The ASCII files can also be viewed online.

The USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 14 is available on CD-ROM from the Government Printing Office.  Stock Number: 001-000-04699-3; Price is $21.00 (U.S.) and $29.40 (non-U.S.).
