Forum on State and Tribal Toxics Action (FOSTTA); Notice of 
Public Meeting

AGENCY:  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION:  Notice.

SUMMARY:  One component (The Pollution Prevention Project) of the Forum 
on State and Tribal Toxics Action (FOSTTA) will meet May 17-18, 2001. 
This notice announces the location, times, and the focus of the 
meeting. The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and the 
Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Pollution Prevention 
and Toxics (OPPT) are co-sponsoring the meeting. As part of a 
cooperative agreement, NCSL facilitates ongoing efforts of the States 
and Tribes to identify, discuss, and address toxics-related issues, and 
to continue the dialogue on how Federal environmental programs can best 
be implemented.

DATES:  The Pollution Prevention Project will meet May 17, 2001, from 8 
a.m. to 5 p.m. and May 18, 2001, from 8 a.m. to noon.

I. Does this Action Apply to Me?

    This action is directed to the public in general. This action may, 
however, be of interest to all parties interested in FOSTTA and hearing 
more about the perspectives of the States on EPA programs and the 
information exchange regarding important issues related to human health 
and environmental exposure to toxics. Since other entities may also be 
interested, the Agency has not attempted to describe all the specific 
entities that may be affected by this action. However, in the interest 
of time and efficiency, the meetings are structured to provide maximum 
opportunity for State and EPA participants to discuss items on the 
predetermined agenda. At the discretion of the chair, an effort will be 
made to accommodate participation by observers attending the 
proceedings. If you have any questions regarding the applicability of 
this action to a particular entity, consult the technical people listed 
under FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT.
