AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.

ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: This document requests comments on a petition for rule making 
filed on behalf of Southern Broadcasting Companies, Inc., licensee of 
Station WXKT (FM), Channel 261A, Washington, Georgia, requesting the 
reallotment of Channel 261A from Washington to Watkinsville, Georgia, 
and modification of its authorization accordingly, pursuant to the 
provisions of Section 1.420(i) of the Commission's Rules. The 
coordinates for requested Channel 261A at Watkinsville, Georgia, are 
33-52-19 and 83-15-19.
    Petitioner's reallotment proposal complies with the provisions of 
Section 1.420(i) of the Commission's Rules, and therefore, the 
Commission will not accept competing expressions of interest in the use 
of Channel 261A at Watkinsville, Georgia, or require the petitioner to 
demonstrate the availability of an additional equivalent class channel.

DATES: Comments must be filed on or before November 26, 2001, and reply 
comments on or before December 11, 2001.

Sec. 73.202  [Amended]

    1. Section 73.202(b), the Table of FM Allotments under Georgia, is 
amended by adding Watkinsville, Channel 261A, and removing Washington, 
Channel 261A.
