Dr. Hunt was raised on a farm in southeastern Wyoming and obtained a Master's (1976) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (1979) in anatomy from the University of North Dakota. Dr. Hunt has been affiliated with the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center through the University of North Dakota since 1973 and joined the permanent staff in 1987 to continue work in trace element nutrition dealing primarily with boron and copper.
