Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and 
Production Act of 1993--Secure Digital Music Initiative

    Notice is hereby given that, on March 27, 2000, pursuant to Section 
6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993, 
15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), Secure Digital Music Initiative 
(``SDMI'') has filed written notifications simultaneously with the 
Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing changes in 
its membership status. The notifications were filed for the purpose of 
extending the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust 
plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. 
Specifically, Unitech Electronics Co., Ltd., Seoul, REPUBLIC OF KOREA; 
Aiwa Co. Limited, Tokyo, JAPAN; Analog Devices, Inc., Norwood, MA; 
Earjam, Inc., San Jose, CA; DnC Tech, Inc., Seoul, REPUBLIC OF KOREA; 
Cognicity, Inc., Edina, MN; HitHive Inc., Seattle, WA; Sunhawk.com 
Corporation, Seattle, WA; Motorola, Schaumburg, IL; Digital Way Co. 
Limited, Seoul, REPUBLIC OF KOREA; Telecom Systems Intl. Co. Limited, 
Tokyo, JAPAN; Viatech, Inc., Natick, MA; Cirrus Logic, Austin, TX; Blue 
Spike, New York, NY; MusicMatch, San Diego, CA; Broadcom 
HomeNetworking, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA; Sealtronic Technology, Seoul, 
REPUBLIC OF KOREA; Tornado Entertainment, London, England, UNITED 
KINGDOM; Digital Media on Demand, Allston, MA; Aegisoft Corporation, 
Rockville, MD; Voquette, Inc., Kfar Saba, ISRAEL; and Vedalabs, Inc., 
Baton Rouge, LA have been added as parties to this venture.
    No other changes have been made in either the membership or planned 
activity of the group research project. Membership in this group 
research project remains open, and SDMI intends to file additional 
written notification disclosing all changes in membership.
    On June 28, 1999, SDMI filed its original notification pursuant to 
Section 6(a) of the Act. The Department of Justice published a notice 
in the Federal Register pursuant to Section 6(b) of the Act on December 
2, 1999 (65 FR 67591).
    The last notification was filed with the Department on October 4, 
1999. A notice was published in the Federal Register on May 12, 2000 
(65 FR 30612).
