The Remedial Investigation Report presents data on groundwater
contamination located both on and off BNL property. The Feasibility
Study Report evaluates cleanup alternatives for each contaminant.
For solvents, seven alternatives were evaluated. For tritium, eight
alternatives were evaluated. For strontium-90, five alternatives
were evaluated. Following the evaluation process, one preferred
alternative for each groundwater contaminant plume was selected and
is detailed in the Proposed Plan.

of groundwater in western Manorville contaminated with the
pesticide ethylene dibromide. The selected remedy is active
treatment by groundwater extraction and carbon adsorption. The ROD

remedial action and the Department of Energy's responses to those
comments.
