The National Park Service has operated the USS Arizona Memorial since 1980, under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Navy. Its responsibility includes the memorial and shoreline visitor center. The National Park Service is committed to preserving and interpreting the tangible and intangible historical resources and the memories, attitudes and traditions associated with the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Each year the USS Arizona Memorial consistently ranks among the top three most heavily visited tourist destinations in the state of Hawaii. Visitors should expect heavy visitation throughout the year. Daily visitation to the memorial often reaches in excess of 5,000 people.

 • The memorial is open seven days a week 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
 • The memorial is closed Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1.
