Description:

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD-Y) is a comprehensive technical assistance resource to help the workforce development community address issues affecting the employment of youth with disabilities.  The NCWD-Y includes partners with expertise in disability, education, employment and workforce development issues. The Collaborative strives to ensure that youth with disabilities are provided full access to high quality services in integrated settings that maximize employment, information and resources for youth with disabilities and their families, service providers and other front-line workers, administrators, policymakers and employers.  NCWD-Y provides critical information to the workforce investment system as it explores how to more effectively address disabilities that include mental illness and substance use disorders among youth, job-seeking customers.
