Did You Know?
In 1932, there was a “Singing Tree". Loudspeakers hidden in the tree were connected to a Victrola which was stationed in a police booth, playing carols. This created the effect of carols emerging from the tree. Park Police changed the records from 6 until 10 pm from Christmas Eve until New Year's.
