on May employment numbers
WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao issued the following statement on the May employment situation report released today::
“Today’s report of 157,000 new jobs created in May — higher than expected — shows that the job market remains healthy and is providing momentum for the economy in the second quarter of 2007.”
