Saving Projects for Later Use Westlaw has a feature that allows you to save a project, made up of your searches from a Westlaw session, so that you can re-enter the results without having to duplicate your search query. To use this feature, conduct your search the way you usually would. But before you sign off, open the pull-down menu under File in the upper left corner. Choose Save Project As and save it to your network drive, naming it something appropriate that you will remember. Then sign off Westlaw as usual. When you want to re-enter the project, simply use the same File pull down menu and choose Open Project. You will see a list of the queries performed under this project. When you choose one, you will be prompted to enter your ID. Westlaw automatically inserts the Client ID from the project for you. |
