Warrant Information Network The Warrant Information Network (WIN), the central law enforcement information system for the USMS, is an integral part of daily USMS field and headquarters law enforcement operations, supporting fugitive investigations, warrant administration, threat management, security of USMS protectees, and headquarters oversight of district investigations. WIN is the main information gateway for the USMS to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). The Criminal Information Branch administers WIN, providing user support, training, and system and development oversight. WIN is used by 2,500 USMS management, investigative, and administrative personnel and handles over 15,000 transactions per day including 100 new fugitive, warrant or threat record entries. WIN houses information and images regarding more than 700,000 subjects of USMS fugitive and protective investigations and it interfaces with the National Crime Information Center and the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System. |
