Bluesky Adult Supported Services BASS offers services for individuals who need vocational or day activity support. Services include:
**Job Placement Services
A specialized Job Coach assists and trains individuals to obtain and maintain meaningful employment within the community.
**Mobile Work Crews
Allows small groups of individuals to be trained in various jobs for local businesses.
**The Academy was established to provide alternative personal development training for individuals who are currently on Mobile Crews. The training provided involves a number of subjects and will continue to evolve over time by adding more topics to the curriculum. Some topics taught include safety, hygiene, board games, social skills, role-playing and music appreciation. Outings to different locations are paired with a specific topic the individuals are studying.
**Bluesky Cafés
Through a cooperative venture with Pueblo County and the Department of Social Services, Bluesky Cafés offer food services and provide training for individuals who potentially can work independently in community jobs.
**Specialized Day Services
Offered to those individuals whose needs require more assistance and supervision.
**Personal Assistance Services
Include evaluation and assessments and provide assistance or training with a wide range of activities necessary to meet daily living needs of the person in the home and community.
**Country Expressions
A specialized program set in a country environment, offers individuals unique and valuable experiences with small animal care, farming, woodworking, gardening and grounds maintenance.
**Community Participation
Provides opportunities to attend special events, participate in volunteer activities and work on projects allowing participants to learn social and basic living skills while also providing a creative outlet.
**A special Retirement Program designed for people 55+ years of age promotes volunteer opportunities, crafts and gardening thus, enhancing quality of life, feelings of self-worth and a sense of belonging and contributing to the community.
**RESULTS Program- RE-Socialization through Understanding Limits, Training, and Support is a day and residential program for those individuals who have been involved with the legal system or have difficulty in other residential or vocational settings due to challenging behavior. The vocational program includes several therapeutic components to assist participants to learn appropriate behaviors, including community service, woodworking, gardening and an animal friendship/care program. |
