Chairman *Tom A. Bernstein is President of Chelsea Piers Management, Inc., formed in 1992, to develop and operate the Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex. He is President of the Board of Directors of The Lawyers Committee for Human Rights; Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of WNYC Radio (New York's public radio stations); a member of the Board of Directors of The Fresh Air Fund and the Markle Foundation; and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
 
Members *Debbie Abrams is Vice President for Public Affairs and Public Relations for BioONE and Sabre Technical Services, the organization responsible for anthrax decontaminations in the Washington DC-area in 2001. Additionally, she has served as former Congressman Newt Gingrich’s Press Secretary; National Director of Broadcasting for the Reagan-Bush re-election campaign; Special Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Housing at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; and Acting Deputy Communications Director for Bob Dole for President.
 
  **Hyman Bookbinder is Washington Representative Emeritus of the American Jewish Committee. He writes and lectures on public policy issues, and serves as a public affairs counselor and board member of a number of public interest organizations.
 
  **Lanny A. Breuer is a partner with the law firm of Covington & Burling. He served as Special Counsel to the President from 1997 to 1999. He is a barrister in the Edward Bennett Williams Inn of Court.
 
  **Myron M. Cherry is managing partner in the law firm of Myron M. Cherry & Associates. He is a Board Member of the Jewish Publication Society and has been active in Illinois state and local politics, as well as national politics.
 
  **Katharine (Kitty) D. Dukakis has worked extensively on issues related to the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, and contemporary human rights, including the plight of Cambodian refugees.
 
  **Stuart E. Eizenstat is a partner with the law firm of Covington & Burling. He has served as US Ambassador to the European Union, Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs, and most recently as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He has also worked as Special Envoy for Property Claims in Central and Eastern Europe. During his tenure at the Department of Justice, he worked to prosecute Nazi war criminals.
 
  *Donald Etra is a partner at the Law Offices of Donald Etra. He serves on the board of directors of the Jewish Community Relations Council and was Vice Chair of the United Jewish Fund, both in Los Angeles. He also was Chairman of the Board of the Young Israel of Century City from 2000 to 2002. In addition, he is an active member of the Yale alumni association.
 
  Senator William H. Frist, M.D. joins the faculty of The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University for the 2007-2008 academic year. Having served as a U.S. Senator from 1994-2007 and Senate Majority Leader from 2003-2007, he is now co-chair of the ONE Vote '08, and he serves on the Boards for Africare, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Clinton Global Initiative’s Global Health Working Group, Hope Through Healing Hands Foundation, Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project, and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
 
  *Joel M. Geiderman, M.D. is Vice Chairperson of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and Co-Chair of the Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also the Medical Director of the Beverly Hills Fire Department and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the son of a Holocaust survivor.
 
  **Harold Gershowitz is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New Century Information Services, Inc., a software developer for the retail apparel industry. He was a member of the Ad Hoc Exploratory Group that recommended the creation of the Committee on Conscience.
 
  *Michael J. Gerson is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, focusing on issues of global health, development, religion and foreign policy, and democracy. Gerson has worked as an assistant to President George W. Bush for policy and strategic planning, speechwriting and policy advising, and as a senior editor covering politics for U.S. News and World Report.
 
  *Constance Girard-diCarlo was the President of ARAMARK Healthcare Support Services. She has served on the boards of Widener University, the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the United Way, and many other civic organizations.
 
  **Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk, PhD is Professor and Chancellor Emeritus of Hebrew Union College—Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, and former Chair of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council's Academic Committee. He also serves as Distinguished Professor of Bible and Jewish Thought, and John and Marianne Slade Professor of Jewish Intellectual History at Hebrew Union College.
 
  **Barbara Wallace Grossman is Chair of the Department of Drama and Dance at Tufts University. She has extensive service with a range of cultural, philanthropic, and Jewish organizations.
 
  *Arlene Herson is the producer and host of the The Arlene Herson Show, available in both South Florida and New York City. In addition to her production projects, she has contributed her interviewing skills to the Shoah Foundation's efforts to record Holocaust survivor testimony.
 
  **Ambassador John F. Kordek was Associate Vice President of External Affairs at DePaul University. Formerly he was Director of International Programs and Government Relations. He is a former U.S. Ambassador and career foreign service officer. His diplomatic assignments included Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Belgium, Botswana, and Venezuela.
 
  *M. Ronald Krongold is the CEO and majority owner of Gold Krown L.L.C., a real estate development company which builds and owns commercial and residential properties. A Founding Member of New Leadership for Israel Bonds, he represented the State of Israel in Negotiations of the Trade Understanding between State of Florida and Israel. Additionally, he worked privately in 1985 with Jeb Bush and then-Vice President George H.W. Bush to rescue Ethiopian Jews in the Sudan.
 
  *Elena N. Lefkowitz is the producer/director for Neuman Films, L.L.C., an independent production company that produced documentaries for television and film. She is currently researching and producing Exodus II: the American Movement to Free Soviet Jews. Prior to her work at Neuman Films, she worked with producer and director Michael Pack as a coordinating and associate producer, and production assistant for Manifold Productions.
 
  *Steven M. Levy is president for the Kamber Management Company L.L.C., working in commercial real estate management, sales, leasing, and development. Additionally, he serves as the Vice-Chairman for the Middle East Forum, a think tank focused on American policy for the Arab world.
 
  **Ruth B. Mandel is founding Chair of the Committee on Conscience, and the former Vice Chairperson of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. She is the Director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers. She also served as Director of Eagleton’s Center for the American Woman and Politics.
 
  *Ken Mehlman is a partner with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP. He served as the 62nd chairman of the Republican National Committee; campaign manager for Bush-Cheney 04, and White House political director during President Bush’s first term. He has previously served as chief of staff to Congresswoman Kay Granger and legislative director to Congressman Lamar Smith. He is a trustee of Franklin and Marshall College, on the executive leadership cabinet of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Foundation and on the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition.
 
  **Leo Melamed is chairman and CEO of Melamed & Associates, Inc., a global markets consulting organization. He serves as Co-Chairman of Stevenson, Melamed and Associates, and Co-Chairman of HuaMei Capital Company. He was recently appointed Honorary Dean of the Derivatives School at Peking University, and is also a Senior Fellow of the International Association of Financial Engineers.
 
  **Father John T. Pawlikowski is a Servite priest and Professor of Social Ethics at the Catholic Theological Union, University of Chicago. His work focuses on inter-religious dialogue and Polish-Jewish relations..
 
  *Harry Reicher is Director of International Affairs and Representative to the United Nations for the Agudath Israel World Organization. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at University of Pennsylvania Law School, a member of the Board of Arbitrators for the National Association of Securities Dealers, and an expert in taxation and international law.
 
  **Aletta Schaap is former Chief Operating Officer to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Previously, she served on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council from 1997-2002, and served on several Council committees. Prior to joining the Museum, she held several positions at the J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles for more than 13 years, most recently serving as Associate Director.
 
  Rabbi Arthur Schneier is Founder and President of Appeal of Conscience, which works on behalf of human rights and religious freedom around the world. A native of Vienna and a Holocaust survivor, Rabbi Schneier is also the spiritual leader of Park East Synagogue in New York City.
 
  George D. Schwab is President of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, which he co-founded with the late Hans Morgenthau. He edits American Foreign Policy Interests magazine.
 
  Joyce Sudikoff is a founder of The Sudikoff Family Institute for Education and New Media, which works to create a public forum for research, scholarship and awareness about issues in education and news media.
 
  **Mark E. Talisman is a Public Affairs Consultant to emerging democracies and other interests, and served for 18 years as the first Director of the Council of Jewish Federations' Washington Office. He was Founding Vice Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council from 1980-1986.
