From: Scott Ehlers [scott@drugreform.org] Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 2:46 AM To: rule-comments@sec.gov Subject: File No. S7-36-02 Dear SEC: As a shareholder of Fidelity and American Funds mutual funds, I URGE YOU TO ADOPT the proposed rule that would require mutual funds to disclose their proxy votes. As a mutual fund investor, I should have a right to know how my mutual funds are voting on key corporate proxy resolutions, whatever the issue may be. One of the basic requirements of an efficient and fair market is access to full and open information by consumers, suppliers, and investors. Without access to information, investors such as myself cannot make informed decisions about where to direct our assets. Without full information, the markets cannot adjust to demands by consumers and investors such as me. Please adopt this rule so that the markets can work efficiently and fairly. Sincerely, Scott Ehlers 2000 Alberta Ave. #7 Venice, CA 90291
