BlazeSports Club Daytona Beach/City of Daytona Beach Department of Leisure Studies

The City of Daytona Beach Department of Leisure Studies in Daytona Beach, Fla., along with the nearby community of Ormond Beach, was named BlazeSports Club Daytona Beach in 2003.  Daytona Beach officially began offering opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities in 2001, although had done so unofficially prior to that date.  Working together, Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach have hosted a variety of sports and recreation programs including little league baseball (Challenger Little League), swimming, and ralleyball.  Recently added to their facilities was the Florida Tennis Center, which has 24 clay courts and jointly serves as headquarters for USA Tennis Florida.
